Qapqa, a company known for its automated pipeline welding systems, has been selected by A-HAK Pijpleidingen Saudi for a major role in Saudi Aramco’s $10 billion Master Gas System-3 (MGS-3) project. The contract covers welding operations for over 300 kilometers of 56-inch X70 pipeline—a technically demanding segment of one of the largest gas infrastructure undertakings in the Middle East.

Under the agreement, Qapqa will provide three full automatic welding spreads and deploy a team of seasoned professionals on-site. This marks a significant operation, not just in scale but also in the precision required. Welding large-diameter, high-strength pipe like X70 in remote terrain demands reliable automation, something Qapqa has built its reputation on through repeated execution on high-spec pipeline jobs.

This award further positions Qapqa as a go-to contractor for welding automation in complex energy projects. While their technology continues to evolve, the real differentiator appears to be consistent field performance—something the industry still values more than flashy innovation.
